Windclub Hawaii Hosts First Training Camps

Train on our turf! WH is hosting is first training camps on Oahu from April 8-11 and 14-17, 2022. Open to a maximum of 15 intermediate and advanced windfoilers. The latter camp is an official Olympic Development Camp, sponsored by US Sailing, and will be lead by US Sailing's ODP Director, Leandro Spina.

Makani and Danicka Headed to '22 Youth Worlds

March, 2022: After proving themselves in two qualifying events in Clearwater, FL and Long Beach, CA, Makani Andrews and Danicka Sailer came out on top as the male and female iQFoilers set to participate in this year's Youth Worlds in the Netherlands in July, 2022.

New Training Tools from the iQFOiL Class

December, 2021: The International iQFOiL Class Association has developed a great set of introductory videos for those youth and junior sailors getting started in the sport. We encourage our club members to check them out: A Complete Guide to Windsurfing and the iQFOiL Class.

Windclub Hawaii in Da House at Youth Worlds

December 11-18, 2021: We were thrilled to have two of our top sailors, JP and Danicka, represent our club (and take the two US spots) at the World Sailing Youth Words in Oman. Congrats to JP on an 8th place finish and Danicka on a 16th place finish.

Making a splash in Florida

November 12-14, 2021: Nine of our team members, including adult/youth sailors and coaches, participated in the US Windsurfing Windfoil National Championships in Clearwater, Florida with great success. Shout-out to our competitors and their great results: Sammy (5th place, Male), Danicka (2nd place, Female) JP (1st place, Male Youth), Makani (4th place, Male Youth), Calum (5th place, Male Youth), Mani (6th place, Male Youth), and Cameron (1st place, Male Junior)

Specialized training with Coach Adrien

October, 2021: The youth competition team completed an intensive 2-week training program in Hawai'i with visiting coach Adrien Gaillard.

European Championships in France

October, 2021: Sammy spent the month training at the future 2024 Olympic competition site in Marseille, France and competed in the iQFOiL European Championships.

Summer fun on the West Coast

July/August, 2021: The gang made their first team training trip to the West Coast - 6 weeks of training, regattas, and adventure in Long Beach, Hood River, and San Francisco.
